Our martial arts program is second to none with programs geared age specific. "Ninja Stars", our entry program for ages 3 & 4. "Lil Dragons", a transition program for ages 5 - 7. Our "Kids Program", ages 8 - 14, will take your child to Jr. Black Belt and our Adult Program will push any student to challenge themselves enroute to their Black Belt.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting which teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique—most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds.
No one system has all the answers. No one system is perfect. This is how Hybrid Krav Maga set it's roots. Borrowing from many systems and many styles and through years of trials and testing.
The Kids (8-13) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ or Grappling) class focuses on all aspects of martial arts training both physically and mentally, developing discipline, courtesy, self-control, confidence, character, concentration, teamwork and focus.
Ashley and Gord Woodopened Evolution Martials Arts over 4 years ago with the hopes of passing along their knowledge and beliefs in the programs and systems they offer to anyone who wished to try. That hope has turned into reality and you only need watch any one of the classes to see the fun, excitement and challenge that each student has during every session.
The school itself has now expanded on it's already amazing programs! Initially EMA's focus was on kids martial arts but now has grown to include TWO young kids development programs (Ninja Stars & lil Dragons), the Intermediate and Advanced kids programs (White through Blue belts and Brown through Jr.Black Belts), a cutting edge, reality based self defense program (Hybrid Krav Maga), a teen and adult Grappling Program (Brazillian Jiu Jitsu), a total body strength and conditioning program (Cage Conditioning) and a mind / body Yoga program (nowHere Yoga). To compliment both the kids and adult programs we also offer Kids and Adult Point Sparring classes as well as an MMA styled sparring class. From 3 to 103 we have a program and challenge to fit any of your personnal requirements and goals.
