Evolution Martial Arts is a family owned and operated business.  Opened in 2007 by Gord and Ashley Wood, we chose to do things different! The name "Evolution" was chosen to represent the school for its continued innovative and evolving curriculum.  We want to provide the most up to date techniques and styles.  Combining both traditional and modern martial arts styles we create the most engaging and exciting programs!  At EMA you will learn a combination of traditional karate, reality self defense, jiu jitsu, tricking and everything in between!

We are proud to be the only martial arts school with NO contracts! 

Our students mean the world to us!  We always treat everyone like they are VIP's and consider them as part of our family!  Family - that is what we are.  We care about each student - their success in martial arts and in their everyday lives.  We are always available to talk and help set your individual goals!  Our goal as instructors is to see you succeed!

One of our favourite things about our school is our tight knit community!  EMA is a safe place where everyone can be themselves!  We love to do family events like family picnics and graduations and to give back to our community by offering free bully and abduction proofing seminars!
